RE: Old E
I wouldn't put it passed them to do this and relabel it Smile

RE: Old E
Ha, If I ever see you shooting that at a match you're going to get a razzing for shooting a new BP sub.

RE: Old E
Hey Kurt did you run a series of rounds to see if that fouling would set up in the barrel? That's one of the things a lot of the subs do well is no need to wipe or blowtube..

RE: Old E
I didn't see just how far I could go before fouling out not using the tube, I blew between shots to see what the accuracy potential was with various compression levels. The fouling I don't see it being anything more then what I have been shooting. Barrel cleaning is the same, but that can be in the lube I use too.

RE: Old E
My little test , I noticed the fouling with the heavily compressed 1.5 to be quite a bit more evenly spread thru the barrel, and there was still shine in there even after the 5th shot of the strings.. Got me to wondering about it really hardens up or not.

RE: Old E
The saga will continue. I have another batch of test rounds loaded. This time we'll be in the 44-77. I have 10 rounds loaded with the accurate bullet using the same volume of Old E as normally would be KIK 1.5, with the wads and primers the same. Plan is to chrono 5 and accuracy test 5 at 300 or more yds.
Then next up is ten of the short tank busters loaded with the same volume of 2f and we'll wipe 5 and just shoot 5 (paper rings allowing)
Then there'll be 10 with the KAL bullet at 1.1 loaded with the 2f wads and grease cookie, these will be fireforming cases so it will be an extended firing string with minimal to zero fouling control, with maybe some resemblance of some accuracy.
