RE: Blackpowder ML Shotgun spring turkey
I use Circle Fly wads in all 3 of my ml shotguns, and they perform well both on clay pidgeons, and live targets.

IR,
Circle Flys work pretty well also. I don't like their thicker over powder wads as well. I have an old book written by V. Starr I believe . He talks of only using thin wads. On the road so I don't have access to it right now

RR, V.M. Starr did indeed really promote thin wads in ml shotgun loads, and his skill in ml shotgun shooting certainly backs up everything he said about those loads. One of Mr. Starr's students told me that shooting his Starr jug-choked 10 ga., 2 oz. lead BB's, and 120 gr. FFg he could stand by 1 REA pole and shoot geese flying by the next REA pole (100 yd.); I don't doubt it in the least. Kinda makes one wonder on the half life of fillings, etc. huh? Good shooting to ya.

Regards
IR
