RE: Anniversary Rifle
Well I loaded up 8 rounds with a 350 grain GG bullet that I had on the shelf with some smokeless powder. Went to shoot it today and could not pull the trigger, just went against everything I could think of. Now I am pulling the bullets and going black. I have some slick sided 565 grainers poured for my 2.7/8, but I think they are a little heavy for the 70. Going to turn down my adjustable mould and pour some around 500-530ish grains this afternoon. I think this is the longest I have owned a rifle with out shooting it. I also bought some factory J-bullets in Big Timber couldn't shoot them eather. The weather is starting to warm up now if work would slow down everything would be great. I could get to the range more.

RE: Anniversary Rifle
bobw, I have a slick .442 mould made by Steve Brooks. I never have cranked it down to see how light of a bullet it will throw. The lightest I ever casted was 500 grain. Looks like it is time to find out. Would a 405-420 grain bullet be sufficient for hunting deer and elk? I was just under the impression that heavier is better.

RE: Anniversary Rifle
Thanks Mike,
I am going to give them a try. Where they round nosed or flat nosed?
