RE: Anniversary Rifle
trapper,
a 40/70 bn in some mid range style could get your wife shooting a sharps as well, and you can still use it for hunting.
keep safe,
bruce.

RE: Anniversary Rifle
OR You could truly get the best of the cartridges, the one that paved the way for the johnny come lately 45's,,, the one the true buffler runners used...
The 44-77, mild recoild, accuracy abounds, and it's just flat cool..
A wise man can always be found alone. A weak man can always be found in a crowd.

RE: Anniversary Rifle
they aint a one of them ctgs tht is a back burner .... the 50-70 is sweet , mine is an old roller with a cut down barrel , looks like a reservation rifle , shoots bunnys real good , the 50-90 is an oversized chambered farmer and will keep up with the others to the q buff with barrel sights the 44 and 45 2&7/8 are new tight chambered guns , and are super easy to use.they all just work , ,,

RE: Anniversary Rifle
Actually I have been looking at the 50-90, because brass is available. Thinking maybe there is another rifle in the near future. That is what is so appealing Don.
