Was look'n at KIK 3F, till this stuff came out.

Gary I can't say whether I like it better than KIK or not. I simply haven't shot enough yet to make any hard determination.
I have however seen some things with this OLD E that is certainly worth pursuing.
If I was you and wanting to try this I'ld surely go with some of OLDE 2f and some KIK 3f, run it thru your CAS guns and see which one is getting it done for you.

Don I think that would have worked out very good with a few breaths up the breach and down the muzzle. Clean up was easy after all those 12 shots fired. The 6th wet patch down the bore it came out clean and the 4 dry patches didn't look like they have been used except for the wrinkles.

That's what really grabs a fella's attention is the easy cleanup.

Don/Kurt, Thanks guys for going through the work/fun of testing the Olde E. powder, and providing a decent data set of important parameters that looks very promising. Based on the data you guys have gathered at this point the Olde E. powder appears to be worth a good test drive by us ordinary shooters. Need to call Powder Inc. tomorrow, and get some of it in the mail bags to sodbuster country. Thanks again.

Regards
IR

IR, it definetly deserves a good hard look by folks. It is different than anything we've had available to us till now. When you get yours please keep us filled in, by either starting another thread or just pile it into this one.
I probably should sticky this thing so it can be found easily.

Oh and I am just an ordinary shooter/keyboard champion type guy. I paid for my powder just like normal, did the same thing with KIK, Express and Swiss, was given the Elephant way back when it was supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread...
I am wondering who the "champion" shooters were they mentioned in that email, and I'm curious as to why they've kept so dang quite about their exploits with this stuff?

I'm not one either, never shot or won a National match so this disqualifies me from being a top class eSmile I'm just a guy with curiosity that gets me in trouble all the time. I don't want to be a top class shooter then I would have to proof myself all the time and make excuses when I make a bad showing. Sleepy done posting Sleepy

RE: Old E
Glad you guys "rung" it out for us. Probably be quite a while before I ever get any. I got a case of a new lot of Swiss I've got to work up a new load for my 45-90, so that will entail my summer.
When I started this a few yrs ago, you could go look up the matches and see what people were using. Don't see that any more.
