RE: Where are folks from?
Born and raised in NE Iowa. Been around firearms as long as I can remember. Uncle gave me a trapdoor in 1959 and all the loading gear to go with it........so, from age 15, I've been hooked ever since. Spent 3 years in the Army '62-'65. Although I know well about diesel engines and rifled barrels my job was a Co Clerk in a tank battalion. Retired from John Deere in 2001. My handle is actually a "family" name on the maternal side. Here is a reference:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi...df=all&.
Military service runs deep in my family so I've a real soft spot for all veterans of the armed forces. Thank you one and all!

RE: Where are folks from?
Born and raised in Missouri. Always liked the outdoors as a kid and Boy Scouts only whetted that appetite. Was in college for 7 years; took me that long to get smart enough to get out. Former furbearer mgmt. supervisor for ND Game and Fish for 33 years; if the animal in question had sharp teeth, pointy ears and ran around in the dark and killed things I was involved in it at some point. Retired now and still in ND, and it's all downhill from my house to the 1st 3 boat ramps, and almost all downhill to the gun range. Married to the same gal for 41 years; 3 kids and 7 grandkids. I think I forgot to mention it's all downhill to the boat ramp.

Started my Flying Service in Forsyth in 84 doing game surveys, predator control ( more addicting than BPCR) and Cropdusting. Must have flown by the Quigley at least a dozen times over the years going to spray jobs and never had a hankering, until my daughter got in this game and got me hooked, but still don't get to take in the Quigley because June is my busiest month.
Two of the most Scenic places to fly over in the world are just north and south of me. (Yellowtail Dam area and the Missouri Breaks)
Predator control being more addicting than BPCR is easy for me to understand. I find varmint control being more addicting than BPCR. Which reminds me; do I get a new barrel for my .40 or a new barrel for my 40x? Maybe, I'll just get both.
Your choices for scenic places ain't bad either. Those areas are more than OK on foot too!

RE: Where are folks from?
born, raised and retired in West Tennessee, try living here and learning about BPCR, they usually laugh at me about what I am trying/learning to do, my main problem is that there is no one close enough to physically talk to so I can pick up the details to the sport

RE: Where are folks from?
born and lived all my years in southeast and central Minnesota - now in the twin cities. Spent 25 fun years in the firearms trade and finally got back into accounting - where my education was supposed to take me. Been trying to work less and play more but so far the plan ain't working well....
Surely enjoy a nice rifle.
