RE: Discovery !!!!
It's 42 here right now and rain. Sure is pretty out, green lawn and trees the crabapple trees are red and purple in bloom, peach trees are pink and the apple and pear trees are white. Carolyn's tulips are of all colors. Man I like this time of year.
My 1500 charge master is belly up so I'm back to the old ways using the balance beam scales and powder drop.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

RE: Discovery !!!!
Don,thank you, you read my mind, I have followed you for a number of years as well as Gunlaker I see you both on Cast Bullet and Shiloh forums and will often read an O.P.'s opening and look to see what you or Gunlaker have commented. You both have a calm demeanor that makes it easier to understand.I had planned to go to the Worland match and finally meet some of the guys from here in WY but family needs my time at the moment.

RE: Discovery !!!!
I have always patched dry, and being left handed, I suppose I have always done it bassackwards. But here is my method, for better or worse.
I lay the dry patch down vertically with the sharp end of the tail pointed to my lower right. I lay the bullet on the lower end of the vertical facing patch with the nose of the bullet facing to the left. I roll the bullet away from me with my left hand while I hold the patch tight with my right hand. As the roll is completed, I hold the patch tight on the bullet with my left hand while I use my right thumb and index finger to roll the bottom edge of the patch over the base of the bullet. I twist the patched bullet against my thumb and forefinger, tightening the patch on the bullet, and immediately insert the patched bullet into the charged case mouth. There is no tail on the patch, and you can see a small circle of lead on the base of the bullet.
Works for me. Shoot straight, rdnck.

RE: Discovery !!!!
You make it look to easy,I am now ambidextrous with patching it will be interesting to see if my accuracy improves.Try everything ten times to see if I was awake. So Kurt/Rdnk you guys have no issues with the tag end sticking out away from the bullet. For me thats what I get and have feared the tag end was getting bunched up when chambering the round.Or are you seating the bullet so deep that it just naturally curls to conform ? Thank you for the video, I am bound and determined to master the mysteries.
