This spring when we went up we didn't realize that you had to shoot so fast and I had a heck of a time blow tubing and getting all my shots in, after watching those guys shoot I came home and worked a load up to shoot fast, no blow tubing . Bullets seated deep and Old Ensford powder. Worked like a champ.
Was wondering if Steve Witt may have been at that match??

RE: Buffalo Shoot
For that kind of shooting you need to use a bullet you can load dirty and a good lube.
A 44-1/2 Stevens action is just the ticket for this kind of match. It will cam a cartridge better then a 1/4" into a fouled throat.
Did Jason Lewis run that shoot?

RE: Buffalo Shoot
Kurt,
I spoke with Steve Witt a year or so back. He was well then. Steve and the Miller bros. used to shoot the Ackely Buffalo shoot years ago, don't know what they're doing these days. Back in 2002 +-, Witt was my spotter at the Quigley.
