Powderburner's Bull Barrel
Few years back I bought a bull barrel from Powderburner and with PP...it has always been accurate; never fired a greaser through it and Dean told me he never had shot anything in it except PP! I shoot this rifle mostly at LR and the closest range I've ever had a zero on has been 200 yards. Well...there's this item I wish to put a bullet through the head of and I figure my shot will be betwixt 50-70 yards so I took the rifle to the range this morning and got be a 100 yard zero so I can have a starting point from there in knowing how to hold for the closer distances. To get down on the comb of the stock I had to remove my strap on cheekpiece as the final zero for 100 was 60 pts. Took me four shots to finalize the zero but my last six rounds went where I was holding with the front post. I called two pin-wheels...and they're there and two toward 7 o/clock! I'd literally kiss Dean's rump for letting me have this barrel!

I told you it was a good barrel . And you don't have to do no kissing . You are just using it to its potential.

Barrel is 30" standard Shiloh bull barrel. Several years back Kirk did a chamber job on it for me; cut a 7 degree leade and it's smooth! Bullet is the .446" BACO PPMB at 1-40 alloy. Use this paper to patch with:
SethCole by Sharps45 2 7/8, on Flickr
102 gr. KIK 2F compressed to .300" and I use a lube cookie of same thckness. One .030" VW atop powder and a .060" adjacent bullet. Bullet seated .200" into case and then I give a very light taper crimp. When I seat the bullet I can feel the paper engrave against the lands. Dean fired a 5/8" group with this dude when he had it! If I hadn't had my head up me Irish arse....and called the two shots over toward 7 o/clock....this one would have been all in that small white!!

Did you have Shiloh do the bbl swap?
