The 20 ga would be my choice. I been thinking about a .62 smoothie flint. That is a 20 ga this way I can use it as a fouler and for deer.
I remember when I used to get the old shot shells they had the over the shot card with a roll crimp and I tested the patterns and seldom I saw a hole in the center.
If you have a 12 ga, I have some old Alcan wads yet you are welcome to.

Kurt, I am not familiar with the Alcan wads? I shot trap one time using a guys Brown Bess loaded with shot. It was a left handed version to boot and I am right handed.....will put some sparkles on your arm doing that for sure! A smoothie for deer and fowl sounds like a good idea, it worked back then!
