This weekend is the Lodi matches:
Friday - 200 yard 22 rimfire BPCR match.
Sat and Sunday BPTR
Sat 3 strings of 15 at 1000yds
Sunday, 3 strings of 10 at 1000yds
I will shoot my BSA Martini Int'l MKII /Unertl 2"-20X
Sat and Sunday BPTR with the 38-50 and/or the 40-65

Ian,

Last weekend I think that I'm coning to the conclusion that my competitive matches are ending. With my last eye damage I just cant see well enough anymore. I spend to much time trying to focus and by the time I squeeze the trigger my eyes gray out, especially if the conditions are dark.
I will still make the close shoots like at Arnies matches at Wis Rapids.

Sitting behind this .38 on a bench I have nothing that shoots better then it does so I know the bad showing was not the rifle. It was the guy controlling it.

RE: .38-50 Hepburn
Yes, I am, Ian
The delrin wiping rods are available in 5/16" or in 3/8"
the 5/16 is what I use in 35 calibers and up.

the 3/8 I use in my 40-65 when pushing bore critters. or can be used in larger calibers
They are nom. 48" long, and Drilled and Tapped Both ends in 8-32 common for jags and brushes.
OH, our mutual friend Tony Martello mentioned you at our Wi Rapids BPTR squadded practice

Ian,
I believe I am squadded with Tony on Friday's 200yds .22 match
He is indeed a great shot. Has done his share of winning at the Lodi Long range matches last coup

RE: .38-50 Hepburn
I will be shooting at Friendship this weekend. Last number I heard was 74 shooters so this will be a great test for the little 38. I have just finished loading ammo for my wife’s rifle. I finished mine a couple of days ago.

It turned out to be a dumpster fire for me. Tomorrow I will try to figure out what went wrong
