RE: Annealing........
I annealed once every few shots when I full-sized my cases. Now that I don't resize at all, I may not anneal again. All my cases are Starline and they are pretty stiff before annealing and provided varying neck tension on the bullet.

That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

RE: Annealing........
Annealing will give one consistant Chamber pressure due to a more consistant Chamber seal. Targets from 800 too 1000 yards and too a mile show more then a few of us this is the thing to do.

Think some Norma 2-7/8ths Sharps Cases with over 50 firings on them. And able to yield a 1.336 inch 5 shot group in the 5@200 match at Raton, in 2008. A national Championship, 3 regional Championships, several records, and a ton of gold medals at 800 to 1000 yards.

RE: Annealing........
nHave not had chance to see if anealing after each firing is better but on Wasserburger's advice I am now trying it. One thing for sure, I doubt it will hurt anything.

RE: Annealing........
Kenny, do you see any case growth over time with annealing and FL sizing?

RE: Annealing........
I just started annealing and air cooling also, plan to do it every few reloads. I do not have enough experience to say that it matters or not.

RE: Annealing........
For re-formed cases I think its a must...at least for the first few firings. Else you're gonna lose some expensive brass. The 40-70 SBN reformed and stretched from 45-70 come to mind.

RE: Annealing........
Gary some, growth usually due to a wet chamber though will get some stretch.

Most of the time no as it expands radialy and to the chamber walls not in length.
