That knife is called the River Bowie and it is made by Dean Oliver,
River Traders, email rivertraders@hotmail.com. He made that design at my suggestion and I really do like the knife. Shoot sharp, Mike

Yes, I have file trim dies for other calibers, including .50/90, but I didn't have one and didn't think I'd need one for the .50/70. So, it should be in the mail tomorrow. Then I'll be fully equipped!!

Sarge, I wrote a whole page about that knife in "Outstanding Products" in the 2013-6 edition of The American Sharps Shooters. If you'd like to, drop down to Publications and take a peek at it. Shoot sharp, Mike

Kurt, That .50/70 has a #1 Heavy barrel, half-round, 26" long and the gun weighs and even 10 pounds, until it is loaded... I'll probably have it along with me at Quigley next June so I'll bring some ammo so you can give it a good try, maybe at the bucket. Shoot sharp, Mike
I'll be looking forward to this Mike. I will pack the .44-77 and we will see it the ..50-70 kicks up less dust then the .44-77 will with barrel sights also it will be fun.
