RE: snow
Many years ago Don...the Hunt brothers, Stuart and Sherman owned property about 5 miles southwest of me; old gumbo type soil fit for soybeans or rice. They tried running cattle on it in the beginning.....I'm talking 10,000 acres of ground and when the rains hit they were feeding liquid! Damn cattle never gained a pound! I've seen calves drowned in a mudhole around a feed trough trying to get to the feed! Well....finally after losing enough of their investment....they brought in about 40 eighteen wheelers and loaded them up and took them up to the Hook Ranch in Montana...which the Hunts owned! Guy told me three months later that I wouldn't recognize them after that short stint up there! That damn grass up that way, and your way also looks most of the time like it's been killed off with chemical but the protein source in it is amazing! I've been all over the West....and I have never seen a bad looking head of stock!!

RE: snow
Hey! you can have my hail and rain falling now. High wind and green sky's with a heavy down pour.

RE: snow
Just had 70 mph winds go through the area and 2" hail with heavy rains. Good thing the fruit tree blossoms are late this year
