pics coming once deal is done.
any advise on loads for 50-100-450, new action, 30" 1:20 twist.

I think i want to keep it real and shoot holy black, maybe duplex even though it is built to handle smokeless

Is that a Turnbull gun ? Looks mighty fine indeed . Did it start life as a Browning ? Very nice... and just the right calibre for rabbits ! Errrr..large rabbits. Wink

That is a fine piece!! with that 1/20 ROT I can see the bloody nose coming shooting those big torpedoes Smile
I hope the a 500 gr is big enough.

... Thanks. Yes ..I just wondered as I thought the later Winchesters ( of oriental extraction ) .. had tang safeties. Doesnt really matter though as that is one beautiful looking rifle. Be interested to hear how she shoots too. 1/20 " seems quick for a 50 ?. Certainly shouldnt need many follow up shots.
