Ok here's the deal, I don't have any first hand experience with PJ bullets whatsoever,,,, But having said that, after looking at the pictures of his bullets I'll submit this, looks to me like his "creedmoor" is a pretty good example of the original postel, and his postel follows closely lymans nose of the "new" postel.
I like the original postel styled bullets and believe them to be about as good as any if not better than some.

a proper fitting creedmoore is hard to beat , the postel aint bad either , I think the two are not much diffeent , and it boils down to what you and your rifle like , the accuracy of both is spot on.

Gary I have the PJ 45001 and it shoot very good at lodi.
But I dont use the mould to often because the .45-90 pulls a lot of lead but the .45-70 my Daughter shot that bullet at the Q a few years ago and she did very good using it in the .45-70.
I dont have one PJ's postells so I cant comment on it.

Thx all.
Don, THX for the "old vs new" info on those bulletsExclamation
Kurt, why do you have so much leading with the C'moor in the '90?
I shoot a PJ C'moor(30:1 alloy)in both my .45-70 and .45-90 using DGL lube and don't have leading issues. This bullet drops at .4585" ans is round to .0002". I shoot'em as cast and pan lube.
BTW, I load both with 3F Goex.....
Cheers,
Gary

Gary I dont know why that rifle pulls lead so bad. I have used 1/16 alloy to 1/40. DGL , Black magic, And several different mixes of what I make/ It just likes to eat lead when I use the bore riding bullets.
The Lyman postell and the flat nosed bullet where the ogive comes right to the case mouth do fine.
If I lube the bore riding section just about eliminates the lead.

This lead magnet. Is it a Shiloh??
Have you "slugged" the bore?

Yes and no.

I did not slug it I made a chamber cast and ordered a throating reamer.

Is the lead spread even in the bore, or just in certain spots?
I'll get a streak from time to time in my '90. If the brush doesn't get it then I use the lead wipe-away cloth.

It used to be just ahead of the chamber Gary.
I got the problem solved.
