Paul Jones
I called Paul last Thursday about a shorter bullet for my .45-70. I told him what I wanted and made arrangements.
This afternoon the mould was in my mail box. I like Paul not only for the quality work he does but a fine Gentleman to talk to.

Dean
I got the shorter .444 1.450 money bullet for the .45-70.
I'm going to load several loads and see how they work at the Q to get a load for my Daughter to use at the fall Lodi creedmoor match.

RE: Paul Jones
No Don. With the 30 mph winds today it just wouldn't show much except maybe wind resistance.
But cut a bunch of new patches and some loaded.

RE: Paul Jones
It a .444 X 1.45" The nose is not a sharp as the BACO MB and the ogive has a longer radius.
It drops out at 518 gr.
I had to cut different patches so the patch is not to high past the shank.

RE: Paul Jones
No.
I wouldn't want to change the sidewall dimensions and make the nose longer then the shank.
As the mould is cut now is a fine balancing point between the ogive and the shank.
I just got done casting 150 this morning and taking a break.
Paul did a good job getting the cavity cut center. Never had to tap the hinge to get the bullet to drop out.
I'm casting the 1/18 alloy at 690° with a tight plate.

RE: Paul Jones
you will be dissapointed if you weigh them , they wont vary much at all. be hard to make a lot of different batches.
