RE: The little .22
Thanks so much for the offer, Kurt. Actually I’ve been considering coming down for it. It would be my last match before the surgeon gets to have his way with me.
I have a good rifle and plenty of fancy ammunition so I’d shoot what I’m familiar with. I would appreciate the opportunity to look over your CPA and possibly take a couple shots with it if time allows. I’ve sort of been kicking around the idea of a CPA for some time now.

RE: The little .22
HI, Guys,
Well, after our Iola Club's so called area sale day on Sat. I did get down to the 100yds range and got
fresh zeros on my Martini Int'l MKII as well as my Savage HB bolt rifle.
So, for that part of things I think I am ready for this Saturday, 28th Mini Palma.22 match. First relay is usually at 9am.
second about 10am or so.
jim, do you recall how to get to the range?
I can send you MSG by email for directions from the north.???

NOW: ALSO, I just was notified that the Lincoln Gun Club just outside of Merrill,WI will after all be holding a 2-500yds Gong match on Monday May 30/Memorial Day.
Generally start shooting at 9 -10 am.
???

Kurt, on Friday, you could park the Gypsy wagon at the clubhouse in Rapids, shoot the 22 gong and whatever , then on Sunday, run to Merrill and park at the clubhouse there for the Monday match. Will love to see your 38-50 Hepburn in action....

Arnie,
I'm not so sure I can find the range from the club house. I will just leave here by 0400 hrs this way I know I will get close Big Grin
If I get lost I will send up a flair.
I have no idea how the Hep will work past 200 yds. This is why I want to make Merrill for it's initial run.
I did order another DZ scope today so don't bring extra scopes through on Sat.
I now have glass on the three primary rifles I use so I don't have to do any switching and having to re zero. The powder supply is getting short so I have to be more conservative.

So the match at Merrill is on for Monday? I could do one but not both. My Granddaughter’s graduation is on Sunday. Merrill is closer.
Arnie. I can find the range at Rapids but doubt I can find the one at Merrill.

I was born in Germany and when I left 5 years after the war the farmers still used Horses and some had steam engines pulling a two gang plow over the field with a cable and the two gang they would flip over when it was drawn back and the beer wagons with the wood barrels were still drawn with draft horses and the Gypsy's would show up now and then in their wagons camped by the river and I used to watch then dancing to their music around the camp fire at night. Mom always scolded me for that because she said they will steel you. Big Grin
After the war I saw some tanks with the gun turret removed pulling the plow and other uses Big Grin

I don't know how the Farmers this year can make a go of it with the price of the fuel this year over $6 a gallon in these parts When I see their $400K 300 HP tractors making dust out in the fields.

If your not to far from Wisconsin Rapids Wis. come on and join us at Arnies match next Saturday. You can use my .22 rifle. it's a 12# CPA and I have plenty of ammo for both of us.
Thats right..
