Now that I figured out how to post pictures, here are some of a 1885 Navy. Shot at 200 yards, 500 gr Rapine with 70gr of Swiss 2fg. Shame I can't shoot it in any matches!

Is this a later, box magazine variant of the rifle that featured ( one of the rifles actually ) in the hands of the bad guy in Crossfire Trail or not related at all ? That one appeared to load from the bottom into a tube magazine. One lovely piece of hardware you have there either way. Thanks for the photos.

Thanks Don. Of course you're right... should have done a quick search. Tried that nose rubbing technique with my ammo once when shooting the Sharps... ..but it didn't work for me. Must be a 'bolt action thing'
