RE: Deer Season
Went to the range today to do some plinking and do some off hand shooting. Getting ready for antelope season. I took 60 rounds with me. Shot the first 20 with no foaling control at all. Thought I would see how many I could run thru before I foaled out. Shot all 60 rounds without blowing or wiping. I had one round that would not chamber, pulled it out and it had a paper ring on the bullet. Removed it and it chambered fine. I marked the case I shot before it and when I got home measured it. It was a few thousandths short. What a great experience. I would have never thought you could shoot that many rounds without blowing or wiping. Here is a picture of the last 3 rounds at 200 yards. Accuracy was still pretty good.

RE: Deer Season
Well the hunting season was pretty slow around here. Got in a few good stocks on antelope, but couldn't close the distance. I got down to right around 200 yards didn't feel comfortable taking a shot, so they will all live to see another year. Deer hunting was rough around here. The blue tongue went through and got most of them. The place I hunt we usually see a couple hundred deer every day. This year we only saw 5 deer opening day. Hunted hard and decided not to shoot a deer unless it was a wall hanger. Passed up a few little bucks and a few does. Only saw about 10 head of elk. They were on the wrong side of the fence. Never did see them on my side all season. Ended the season with 1 antelope,1 elk, and 5 deer tags in pocket. According to my GPS I put on over 30 miles on my Sharps this year. It was still a great year out there and i didn't have to butcher any animals. After all the fun stops and the work begins once you pull the trigger! LOL
