1889 Remington Buttplate

I stumbled across a 1889 Remington SXS that was wearing the original buttplate and I liked it so much I asked to snap a photo and they obliged.

I just love all the thought that was put into making this Remington Arms Co. piece alone. It's a good example of what makes older firearms so special and how sometimes it is the little things that matter.
