I will be honest and upfront from the get go, I don't really need any brass but it sound to me like Captec can be setting in the cat birds seat if they can tool up and produce brass that the big companys are dropping from public sales. I have purchased brass manufactured by them and from everything I have heard and seen their brass is first rate and if tooling up for what people want is not overly expensive then they stand to set themselves up as a major supplier of brass for the reloading community.
Over the past year I have kept my eyes open for opprotunitys to purchase new or once fired brass, even if I didn't' really need it, but I will not buy things I don't have something to shoot them in. However I do feel in the current environment, I feel it is prudent to maybe just stash some goodies away for the just in case. Case in point, late last year or very early this year, on another board someone posted that they had for sale some .45 auto rim cases, new in the bag. I really don't need any, and rarely use that case but I got some any way. You just never know when they might come in handy. And who knows maybe I will live long enough that they will be a collectors item and I can sell them off one at a time.

Mike I believe Captec's description of their 303 give the rim the same size as the 30-30 family. I heard from a fella on another board he was reforming 303 savage to 32-40.

Hmmm... I've got some Jamison .303 Savage and I'll see if they fit in a .30/30 shell holder. (Or was that fella making .32/40 Remingtons? Those did have a larger head.) Shoot sharp, Mike

I just got back from the loading bench and my .303 Savage by Jamison will not fit an RCBS #2 (.30/30) shell holder, it's too big. And, this should not make any difference, my .303 brass is from their earlier run and is says "Jamison" instead of "JBA." I've been shooting .303 Savages since the 1950s, done a lot with them. Well I'm just gad you had the hands on, with those cases, saved me from ordering some only to find out I needed to find a rifle that could use them

I believe 32/40 Remington was made from 30/40 Krag brass and its not 32 but 30.
