To my way of thinking it's imperative if one is working with a double cavity mould to have both cavities as near the same as possible! With this confounded mould it's delivering two different balls because of the oblong/elongated entry holes and if the holes are drilled larger the sprue on the ball is therefore larger! The sprue left on the mould should be as small as possible!

I take my cast round balls, about 100 or so, and put them in the tumbler and cover them with water, about 1/2 full drum and tumblem them for about a one hour. They look like a swaged round ball when I pull them out.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
