Well it did flat work and I have already offered the hide to my ex. So when I get home it will get rolled out on the floor in a bud's garage, finish fleshing it and salt it down. When dried and ready to ship it will go to Moyle Mink and Tannery of Heyburn Idaho they do a great job of tanning robes for under $500. The 500 gr Rapine ppb weighed in at 492.6 grs dug out of the buffalo. bobw

Bob have you checked with Jerrod Blair in Lusk? He does a great job of robe tanning and is more than reasonable. He quoted me 800 for a full head mount with a set of cast horns, so the natural horn caps could be used for powder horns etc.

Gavin, can't complain about the weather at all it was right at 44 deg F with 10-12 mph wind and that sure beats the 3 F of last time and the same wind. Don what does that guy get for tanning a robe? Kurt ,I don't believe I've ever had better meals anywhere and Rick is allways fun to hang around with. Thanks all for the feedback . bobw
