RE: Norma TAC-22
One thing that is very evident and that is the brass is very soft. I don't have any signs of blowback soot like I see in some of the other rounds I shot for comparison.

RE: Norma TAC-22
Went out again this morning and did some more shooting with the new CPA with the .22 barrel on it and DZ scope to get some sight settings.
I shot in the yard and only from 50,75 and 100 yards using the Norma and bulk Federal Auto Match ammo. I used a 2" dot sticker.
I will say right now that the DZ scope rates a 10+ with me. The sight adjustments are as advertised. move it two lines and it moves the bullet 1" at 100 yards. The scope is very bright and the cross hairs are dark enough for my eyes to see on something black looking in the tree shadows, but not heavy enough to take up a large spot on the black center of those orange stickers
The winds really where mild and slightly variable from the 7 O-Clock between 7-8 to about 14 MPH tops on the wind anemometer.
The Norma prints about a MOA lower then the Fed Auto Match and the report is louder using the Federal ammo but both shoot quite well.

It sure makes a difference when you can see what your shooting at Smile
If it don't rain tomorrow and the wind is not to bad I will get some more sight settings shooting the 150 and 200 yards and check out some different ammo including some 4.5 grain black powder loads.

Yessireee, being able to see what you're shooting at sure helps. I shot one of those 22 bpcr matches with irons,,, and said that wasn't going to happen again.. Scoped the guns and never looked back. Smile

While I am no expert by any stretch of what you should expect from a good .22, I just don't see how you could want much more in the way of accuracy. I know I would be very happy to shoot groups like that, heck I would be ecstatic to shoot groups that small with some of my bolt guns. Thats just some very fine shooting Kurt.

Sam,

The bad thing is now, I don't have an excuse when I miss those pesky little iron critters anymore. I can see them now and the rifle shoots. Smile

I am sure you can come up with some kind of excuse, you had gas, sun got in your scope, wind caught it, solar flair, hickup, it ducked, guy next to you shot and scared you, trigger too light and the list can go on.
