    After looking at the list of rifles you have, I'll suggest you look at a C. Sharps Arms Hartford Model, 1874 of course, in .50/70 with a #1 1/2 Heavy barrel with Hartford collar, 28 or 30 inches long. That would look like a buffalo gun, for sure. It would do the job too. It would look something like my .44/90 with the 1 1/2 Heavy barrel although this rifle's barrel is 32 inches long. For prices on the barrels heavier than the #1 take a look at the new C. Sharps catalog. You can download that if you don't have it from their web site, www.csharpsarms.com. They also make a #1 3/4 Heavy barrel and that is the largest barrel which can be made with a Hartford collar. Just my 2 cents...
