Probably wouldn't need to disassemble the gun and get into the innards for cleaning but about once or twice a year, if you shot bp everyday.
Cartridge should hold most of the crud , just like with a single shot rifle.

What I did with those pins, was to just lightly 'mash' one end so it takes a drift punch to set it flush with the frame.

YUP, mine is set to 85psi via the reg.

A very good load for me has be 16 grains of 2400. It is dirty as a low pressure load by it shoots very good in every 45 Colt I've tried which means 'bout 5 of them.
