As most of you already know, I am not the most historically correct person when it come to BPCR, however, I am close to being able to call my 1874 Shiloh "my hunting rifle". I am working on a paper patch load for it and when I get that done, it will be my go to gun.

As for matches, I will more than likely continue to shoot the rifle I have that is most accurate. Right now that is a 40-65 Browning, however I am getting very close to a 45-70 load for my Highwall that will give me options on match day.

I am thankful that this board is here, for the education purposes as well as the entertainment. I do have an interest in the way they ran these rifle a century ago.

no I have not, do you know what town its located close to. I have a 100, 200 and 300 yard at the house and will be putting up a target at 500 yards sometime in late February.

I started this sport from scratch 2 years ago this past November, knew nothing about the Shiloh .40-65 that I have purchased used, did not know how to reload a cartridge nor had never cast a bullet, its been a struggle but starting to show some fine rewards
