Yes very much so
Have a SS "Mountain Gun" in .44 Mag that shoots oh-so sweet.

RE: N frame SW's any fans here?
Got a few. M24, 25, 27, 28, 29 and 57 plus an early M&P/Hand Ejector .455 and a 1917. I think that is it but might should go look. I don't shoot them all that regularly but I highly cherish each one of them.

Dean said, " ... the only thing better is a ssa in 45 lc."
Now you're talkin', loaded with a 325 gr. LBT and a compressed load of H110, that comes from my Ruger Blkhwk 4 5/8"er. Very bad news !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for anything on the receiving end!!!!!!!!!!!.

Aren't the 27 & 28 the same gun
Just a different finish, gloss blue vs. matte.

RE: N frame SW's any fans here?
they are , lump, just not as pretty but way more functional ,I do wish they had lengthened the cylinders on them though, ,mine are not matte just not polished to the extent of the 27, and the top strap on the 27 is gussied up for glare , the 28 just bead blasted or sand what ever they used, they just shoot forever though..
