Lodi scores

RE: Lodi scores
Shooting the 1000 starting at 7:30 is rough for me when the light is dim from heavy overcast before the rain, but the benefit when the range faces west you get the long range done before the sun passes to the front.
This came up at a shooters meeting and approved by the shooters.
Either way it makes no difference to me at what distance I start at. They all have to be shot at one point.
They have shot the 4 shooter squad once a couple matches ago but it was voted down to the 3 again. I personally like having the two different spotters from match to match it is a good learning experience for all.
I personally would do away with spotters all together. Watch your own conditions and make your own call. Just you and your rifle. and let the other shooter keep score.

I don't know how the winds are back in that country but out here the winds are usually a lot calmer in the morning than later in the day. So assuming the same thing holds true back there, shooting the 1000 first would eliminate some of the hoorah that can happen when you shoot it late in the afternoon..
I did notice Barb Walters really tore em up on the 800. There were some pretty good scores shot here and there all thru that match.
The turn out was encouraging.

There are hard holders shooting at Lodi. Three had to drop out for one reason or another. Death of a friend or other reason.
Lodi has started expanding the targets from 27 to 50 that involves moving the silhouette range over some. It is a very good place to shoot and it is very active.

There are several on that roster that also show up on the roster at the nationals in Raton.
Good deal that they have to expand the target pits, but I suspect it's more on account of Fclass and highpower shooter numbers?

Bruce.

Guys like Doc. L, Brent D, Cliff G, Mike T, Jim K and Bob S that are very often on the top of the leader boards and Match winners.

Kurt the last couple of years when we pulled into the Whittington , there has been a group of highpower shooters finishing up a match. Several of them hail from Winnequa.
