PP bullet
Looking to get another PP bullet mould for 45 / 2.4 and would like some advice on the 2 dimensional type that are available from Brooks and others. These nose pour bullets have a .450 base and taper to .441. Trying to get my head around how these would fit into a sized case and engage the groves if they are .459 after patching. Do these work in standard Shiloh bore/chamber?
Any experience with these would be appreciated.

It depends on how long that bullet is and how radical the taper is. I have two tapered moulds, one from Tom Ballard and one from KAL.
Both shoot OK but I have never got great accuracy from them. The KAL tapered .44 Gibbs is a fine shooter but the length and taper is right. The Tom Ballard for the .45 has a fast taper like what you mentioned and is a little erratic at longer ranges.
The .450 base is good when it gets patched to groove diameter it has several plusses like it can be seated out like a patched straight shanked bore diameter bullet if you like to carry it in a belt for hunting if the profile like the original Sharps bullets where.
You have to be careful when you pick a tapered bullet. When the taper gets to much and the ogive is to long it takes work to get them to shoot well.

RE: PP bullet
Thanks Kurt - great advice and I'm thinking that I might just stick with a .441 slick for now and gain some more experience/knowledge. I would for now stay with a GG type for hunting but would really like to replicate the more durable original types.

RE: PP bullet
Good decision.
I would decide on the paper thickness you can find and then figure the naked bullet diameter. Then order the mould bullet diameter.
