I had a bunch of .44 Gibbs bullets cast That have been sitting for a while so I used them for cores for the .454 swage die and made some 490 gr .45 gibbs bullets. What winter borbone will do to a feller
I needed some for the .45-70 in case I can find a silhouette match some place this summer of maybe spring.
Since I have all this clean snow I shot a bunch of them in the snow but I might not see them before May

Yup I think these 490 gr will work well in the .45-70 for silhouette.

Into these .445's

Yes those look good, maybe they'll shoot past 600 now? If nothing else they'ld sure make good sillouette bullets for those so inclined to mess around with a boring ol 45.
