Them old dead guys may have known more than we think they did

Had a break in the weather and jumped out with the roughrider with it's new chamber, and MVA scope. Shooting at 300 yds went thru several rounds of previously loaded ammo to get the wind and elevation.
Then jumped into some rounds I have loaded using some of the info from Perry's book. Only 300 yds and on steel ,cuz the target board is still froze to the ground, but this picture is 8 rounds , short patched with the Hyde method 8lb seth cole, and no wads. 76 grs OE 2f br2 primer in Jamison 44-77 cases. BACO 434-470 bullet cast from 16-1 .
Next time out think we'll jump right to 1000 if the winds are almost tolerable .
