Yah, but ain't it fun. Actually I think it's just a very early case of Cabin Fever. Gosh darn, it's cold up here, been sitting around -22F for days now and I ain't hardly been out of the house. Goin' to town today though, got some shopping to do. Yippee!

RE: Challenge match idea

Instead of the shooter supplying his/her own ammo. Having say 3 rifles from 3 different manufacturers all in the same cartridge chambering. The ammo all prepared by an independent person, that is supplied all the components to produced enough "factory" ammo to supply the match.
Course of fire would be sort of simple. 900 yds. 5 sighters 15 shots for score, no spotter only a score keeper that could give sight correction for the sighters, but after that it's all on the shooter. Score keeper/shooter combo drawn by lottery. 3 minute prep and 30 minute shooting time limit, all the entered shooters to fire every rifle during separate relays. Fouling control to be shooters choice, shooters to clean the rifles between relays, with bore inspection done by the "armourer". Prize award to the top 3 aggregrate scores behind the overall high score. Grand prize to the overall high score.
Be a nightmare to get all the logistics sorted out, but once the first one got pulled off the rest would maybe be easier..
Sure would give someone some reallife bragging rights.
What ya think? Worth the effort to put together?
Been thinking about this again. Only maybe instead of 3 different rifle makers just one, also thinking either the 45-70 or 45-90 chambering.
Thoughts?
