Thumbs Down  Colt SAA 44 Special
I picked up a Colt 44 Special 4 3/4" barrel last week from Orville! Orville gave me some loaded rounds with the pistol, so dad and I took it out for a spin last weekend! It shot great! I went to Sportsmans Warehouse today to pick up some supplies for reloading the little bugger and what do I see???? JUST ABOUT NOTHING!!!!! All there brass bins were empty except for 44 Special, 38 Colt and 45-70, go figure! I ended up buying 200 brass, a set of carbide Redding dies and a shell holder! I had heard that the reloading supplies were down but what the heck, I don't pay attention to the modern stuff! I'm going need to buy some powder, lubrisizer die and a gang mold online!

You might check and see who that guy was at the Stuckenhoff range the other day. He had a whole trailer load of powder primers etc. I got a carton of br-2's from him for 50$.

Yeh online powder is a pain. That guy had quite a bit of smokeless powder , but I didn't need or want any so I didn't look to see what he had.
Have you checked with Glenrock components?

If you can find some bludot , that has been what I've been using in pistol cartridges quite a bit.

The Special is a great cartridge. I use Unique & 2400 in mine under this.
