The 434 470 p blocks from Accurate showed in today's mail. Look real nice. Now to see about making them cast

Got them mounted up and ready to go. Took forever to get the things to start dropping good bullets, but once they got to going it went well, and the weight variation stayed real good a 482 grs. Wet wrapped a handful in the Seth Cole 8#.
The bare slug will just slide down the bore of the 44. Should proove interesting when I get a chance to test fire a batch next week.

Don, it IS a good looking bullet. However, if it will just slide down the bore unpatched, isn't it a bit big? Or are you patching to groove diameter? Shoot straight, rdnck.

Stephen he's in Utah. Dick Savage has been telling me about when he gets a wild hair to try something different this is where he gets the blocks built. Cost 75$ plus shipping.
It will likely have to be a strictly target bullet, as it's diameter is such that I don't think it'll chamber without wiping.
Hopefully get some full speed shooting done with it next week.

Here's a link to their website. http://www.accuratemolds.com/contact.php

Nice looking mould and bullets Don. Price seems very reasonable too. Did the diameter of the bullets come out larger than you expected or did you specify that size?

What type of metal is your moulds made from? They look real nice!

Steve,
I wanted a mould for an original 38-55 93 Marlin that had a bit of an enlarged chamber throat. I ordered a brass 4 holer from Accurate and specified dimensions at various points on the bullet. Delivery was about 7 days from the order and measurements were exactly as promised, -.000 + .0005. There was a bit of a learning cure to casting with a brass mould but the bullets come out nicely as long as the caster does his part.
I got what I ordered, Just have to see if it was the right thing. You won't be disapointed in the maker With Accurate.
