Thank you all, after 17 years of looking ,paying attention to what guys like you all do and how you do it has given me a great education and a discerning eye. The fist 1877 I ever saw was one of Carmen’s Axtell rifles with her attached to the rifle , she invited me to shoot her rifle and was smitten with the elegance of the 1877 Sharps Rifle. I already had my two Shilohs and her guns were cash up front and $$$. Nobody ever made a 1877 except for the handful of original factory guns all in house until Shiloh did. The painstaking effort for the Shiloh crew to make it happen was in Gods hands and he delivered .

Yessir people grouse about the time lag on Shiloh but dang when you pop that case open it's all to apparent how well worth the wait it was.

Started to mount the MVA base and torquing the screws to 18 inch pounds something is not right. The base is getting tweaked enough to not allow my LR Buffalo Sole sight to mount. I can loosen the screws enough to allow the mounting of the sight. The base and sight are on there way back to MVA their interested in what’s not right. I can mount the sight and retighten the screws take the sight off but will net allow the sight to remount .
