RE: New tumbler
I might add that I still maintain an old Midway vibratory shaker, along with a large Hornady sonic cleaner and the Frankfort wet tumbler. I plan on gettin' cases clean,LOL!

Here is a link to tumbler parts if you can't find a motor else where.

RE: New tumbler
Sam it's not just one part. I replaced the bearings twice as well as the guides. The barrel has so much rust pitting that it started to leak so I cut a gasket under the liner over the rim and this worked for a while till I saw the liner was just about wore through. It has had a many thousands of cases run through with just minor repair like belts and bearings. To replace the barrel and get it back up to shape I picked up a Rebel extreme 17. This is a great tumbler, it runs on sealed ball bearings and quiet, but it comes at a high cost, but a very tumbler. When I saw this Arsenal tumbler on a black Friday sale I jumped on it. At times I wish I had a second one for the over loads.

RE: New tumbler
Well that post was for the guy looking for the motor. A good tumbler is a very worthwhile investment. Mine is an old AR-6. To be honest I dont' know how long I have had it but I am thinking well over 35 years. It has been used hard and used a lot and I am honestly surprised that I have not had to replace anything YET. If and when it does die I will probably look for a bigger and perhaps better tumbler, but I will wait till the time comes and then decide on what to get.

Nuclearcricket thanks for the link. After I dropped mine and tried to run it I let all of the smoke out of the motor.

Pins Do More Damage That good . Eventually after using the same Brass. they peen all The Brass. Small micro dent That pop Out after shooting . Causing an Orange Peel effect. I have several Tumblers .I prefer Lortone , Star diamond Or Sears.
I would Rather wet Tumbler without Pins to Clean and wash. Dry, then Tumble with Media

RE: New tumbler
The ceramic media I use comes from Dave Maurer. The bits are 0.200 in length, 0.125 in diameter. They can be bought for about $35 a bag, last forever! I use the Frankfort wet tumbler for BPCR cases and some smokeless items. Works great!

Sorry Lee. Your question got past me some how.
Lee I'm going to hang on to the motor. I smoked the motor on the Mid Way vibrator cleaner and it will go on it when I get around to it Smile
