22 1919 conversion
1919 browning built by John Mcguire
22 conversion, 1.5 yrs in making by belt-fed-plus aka Thomas Heim
Bolt conversion to semi auto again by Mcguire

4hrs of fun today learning my way around this thing. Still a bit to do. It needs the power of minimags to run via recoil. I had a few blown case heads. I need to lighten the firing pin spring as it is piercing the cases at times. You can see this in the comparison shot. It really dents the heck out of the rim

How the belt feed works. There are adapters, clips at end of each pair of adapters, dummy cases that then fit into spring adapters in belt

A blown one

Blown vs not, heavy impact though

That's a cool toy.

Good thinking lumpy
As these are rare, I think I will just make a new firing pin first

Just make sure the FP tip does not hit the breechface on an empty chamber.
Old H-S drill shafts make great firing pins, and easy to heat treat.

RE: 22 1919 conversion
I still have a groove on my shoulder carrying a 19 for almost a year and halve till they handed my a M-60. The 1919 -A-3 will lay down more fire power then the M-60 but when that barrel starts to glow on the 19 and tracers going in every direction changing out the barrel on the 60 was a joy Smile But I will say this, pulling down and left (for a right hander) on that pistol grip with that gun on the tri pod it is as accurate as a rifle.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
