Milan buffalo shoot

Very challenging shoot, 27 shooters showed up to shoot 33 Buffaloes in 3 banks of 11 with 5 minutes in the clock. Ranges were from 168 to 190 to start and going to around 270 to finish. Could use the range finder to see what the first target was and then you are on your own to guess each target. I got a 25 , my buddy got a 25 then a 26,28 and match winner with a 31, so I moved down to fifth place. Had a ball can't wait for the fall shoot. Bill

Bye the way there was a gentleman there shooting Old Jims 45/90 Hiwall and he said to tell Jim he's not getting it back.
I shot at Carthage buffalo shoot today and the 40-70SS Hiwall did a good job as I got First with
it and first with my 1895 45-70 lever gun. Had a good weekend. Going to Effingham next weekend for BPCR silhouette

Bill, I put that Badger bbl. in that old h'wall about 20 years ago, and it looks as though its still MOA! At the Q several years ago, the current owner let 3 other shooters use the rifle for the entire shoot, plus a weeks practice. They shot it enough that all the action screws fell out during the match , LOL. I tightened 'em up and they been good to go ever since!

At Effingham do they have time to get sight settings?
I put a scope on the new rifle and I have no settings past 200 yards for it.

Add 12 for the pigs another 15 for the turkeys and another 15 for the rams, and another 7 for the 660 yd mr target..
