Stephen.
That is a great story! Reading it brought back some fond memories spending time with my Kids on the first time I took them hunting pheasants and rabbits.
The first time out we walked the back yard and my Son just about stepped on a pheasant and it took off

he just stood there holding the .20 ga at the ready watching that bird fly off. I asked him you just going to watch him fly off

and he shouldered the single shot 20 and shot when the bird was way out of range LOL LOL.
Or little things like taking my Daughter Ice fishing when she was about 5 and we were walking through some water and her boots had a leak I didn't know. I noticed that she was starting to walk different and when I got the hole drilled she was squirming around a little wiggling her feet. I asked her are your feet cold? and I saw her eyes starting to fill with water. I took her boot off to rub her feet and water poured out. I said Kitten, why didn't you tell me your foot was wet. Her reply was I wanted to go fishing, I don't want to go back home.
I took her to town and got new socks, shoes and boots put then on her feet and set her on the counter at the check out and told the Lady her feet where cold and wet. Here are the tags off what she is wearing and we went back on the ice.
Little things you and your kids will remember always.
Thank you Stephen.
