RE: .44s
Don, I am thinking that way about 44-450B myself. Maybe if I just order two of them we'd get a discount. (But then I couldn't send one of them to you...) Also, that mold would make a good "light" bullet for the .44/90. Shoot sharp, Mike

Idea I'll send you the check for one of those in mehanite, and you can order it, have it shipped to you, and by the time the post office gets it delivered here,,, I should be able to start back in shooting again next spring.Big GrinBig Grin

Blush Well maybe, but I figure if the USPS happened to screw up and get the mould to me early, I could use the set up I have , while we're waiting for the dies.CoolBig Grin

RE: .44s
Well, I'll be optimistic and say that my roller will do more good shooting with 44-400B. And, just to add more details, the group I shot yesterday morning was done with unsized bullets. Those were hand lubed (with Vigilante). Next I'll try some bullets that are sized to .446". The as cast diameter is listed as .448" but I have not checked that with a mic. And, should the as cast bullets shoot better, where can I find a .448" sizing die? Shoot sharp, Mike

RE: .44s
I have a .448 size die for the Lyman lubrisizer from BACO. But heck with them shooting that well as cast and panlubed, I don't think sizing will accomplish much.

This is just what we all need.....another mould Undecided Big Grin
Over these last few days getting ready for Lodi and the Buffalo hunt coming up the end of sept. I been casting, loading checking to see how these loads are shooting. The thought came in my mind, is this really worth the afford I'm putting into this. Man this is a lot of work Confused
I just read Stephen's post on the hunting forum. This took me back to when I first started my son shooting and hunting and what I did when I was 11 or 12 years old. Man that was fun and I could not find enough time to do that. A little later at 15 years of age I ordered a roller with the money I earned baling hay all summer. I had one Lyman mould and melted down lead in one of Mom's little pots on the stove and using a big spoon pouring the lead in the mould and loading that wrinkled bullet in the black powder Spanish shell.
How time changes things.

RE: .44s
I hear you Kurt. I still have 45 of the bullets from the original Ideal mould that haven't even been lubed.
I am proud to say tho that I have the ammunition loaded that Carol and I can shoot the Utah state match next week, and I can go to the BPTR nationals and I won't have to reload nary a single round,,, unless I get to thinking about how miserable it might be to shoot the nationals without a single paper patch bullet....

Kurt, Aren't we all members of the Bullet Mold of the Month Club? And Don, I won't jump to get a .448" sizer until I see a real need to have one. Right now I just wanted to know where to turn to and, yes, I should have thought of BACO myself. Like an old friend of mine might say, "Well, we'll have to --- see about that.." Shoot sharp, Mike
