new range finding binoculars
Sprung for a 10x42 Swarovski El range
All I have to say is wow.
For some reason, looking through them, reality looks better!
Amazing glass and very happy. I love the angle feature that shows true range along with visual range

generally I don't shoot beyond 100yrds but it is cool to see the calaulated change in range on a slope
Gonna have a strap mark on my neck from carrying these around the farm

RE: new range finding binoculars
I would love to have one, but it's out of reach for me. I know a guy that has one and I looked though them and they are a fine set for sure. Let us know when you have a chance getting a distance reading off hair, like Cow, dog or deer not cars or trees to get the maximum range they pick up.

I have a set of the Burris range finding binoculars that have been a great service to me for about 10 years now. I would like to have a pair that are less bulky someday.

Yes that is the problem with this style of range/binocs, they can get a bit heavy around the neck. I use a set of 10-40 Zeiss Binocs and a small Lieca range finder that goes in my vest pocket. It's very comfortable and easy to get out.

Leupold had some at the same time Burris came out with these, but they put a pink read out in the dumb things and you get against a light background and lots of luck trying to figure out what it said.

These rant too bad for weight, esp for the optics.
I sling over neck and one shoulder, leaving under armpit for long walks. Seems to ride better

These use red and can control brightness.

I did discover something cool. I am very right eye dominant.

Bino display is in left side. Under usual circumstances it appears right in middle as if seeing it with both eyes. However if I am shooting, using my right eye then go to look through them and use range finder, I can't see it, or have to concentrate to look through both eyes. Wild!

Funny how u can train yourself, it is like I am not even using my left eye after I shoot

I like the Crooked Horn bino harness.
