Now that looks tempting ! Couldnt bring myself to alter the 44 though. This would just be an excuse to have another rifle built up. That cant be a bad thing... surely ? .. Big Grin

Nope don't really want to alter a 44, but hopefully it makes the Italian chamber into something that doesn't need special cut brass, and then theres always something hanging around that could be rebarreled....

RE: Now what to do...
I have a tight .45-90 reamer coming from PTG next week also. It was going to be used for the CPA being build now but it will be a .44 again Smile

Kurt you want to measure this one when it gets here, if it's something you could use, you're sure welcome to it.

I don't think so Don. from looking at it, it looks like it has a 45 degree chamber end.
The one I have coming will have a .474 case neck with a 5 degree/1.5 degree compound lead. It wont load a GG.

I'm curious to see just what this one measures. It looks like it's going to be something less than a 45 degree end, but what really has me curious is the case mouth diameter.

Well that reamer has 6 flutes so it should be easy to measure.

Gonna be a fun day when the mail comes Monday. Smile. May just ream that Italian right after the mail comes, cast a few of those bullets, supposedly that reamer was built with the bullet in mind, and just see what happens..
