Did you get the good weather you were waiting for?

The .446 bullets shot fair from 800 yds. Winds were a bit twitchy. There's some promise shown here, but nothing I'ld load a batch and head for a target match with, but could sure ring a gong..

Buttugly shot the new tank busters fair at 600, but wasn't shooting them dirty as I had hoped. There was a better group in a railroad tie under the target that we didn't notice until after we had already painted. Little tweeking with both and there could be something good come from them.

Looks like you had some wind to play with. That first target also had some vertical going on it seems maybe some load tweaking will do the trick.

Most of the verticle was me adjusting the sights. Shooting 2 shot groups., The first 2 on the right was getting the wind. Then dropped the elevation some more, then the wind let up, and that made the last shot is the one out at 9 almost off the target.. But yes there's still some tweeking to do.
I think jumping up a couple grains on the powder charge, and taking one wad out. Leave the overall length the same, and patch with 7/8 wide patches..

I thought we where starting to get good weather here till I got up this morning to see 3" of snow on the ground.
It never made it past the mid 30's today.

White on the mountain top here this morning too. I made a new shooting bench and haven't been able to try it out yet. I did notice a problem down range. Big old pine tree has some branches between me and my 400 & 500 yd gongs. First use of the bench will be with my 222 when I do some redneck tree trimming!!

Had these loaded for a while but we've had so much rain that the grass is growing like onto gang-busters and I haven't been able to bushhog the range for over a month. And now....the 'skeeters' are breeding and some of 'em right now could stand flat-footed and bend a turkey over!! A couple of trips with the spray plane will solve that problem!!
