Hey Kurt, That .30/30 is sure good looking. It probably isn't 130 years old, at least not quite. I've got Brophy's book on Marlin Firearms so if you want, I can look up the year of production for you.
Several years ago I came across a '93 saddle ring carbine in .32/40 that was just too good to leave behind. That gun had been rebarreled with a like-new Marlin barrel, so it is a great shooter. I still have it and somehow I can still use it with the open sights. It is a very good cast bullet gun. Anyway, good doin's on that .30/30. Shoot sharp, Mike
