I don't know for sure Gary but it would be my guess that the pin gauges will be used to measure the cylinder throats to match the bullet to the throat. They say that is the best thing to do to get the most accuracy out of a revolver. I would be interested in hearing just what size they are and how much variation there is between chambers.
