Utah State BPCRS match
On the Christmas card from them, they did say they are planning on the match being Labor Day weekend again in 2016. Mark you calendars for one of the best matches in the country.

Don where is this match held? I grew up in Utah and used to shoot trap at the Holiday gun club in Salt Lake and at a pistol range up by Heber City.
My Brother still lives there so if I go I can stay with him and he can go with me he is a gun owner and shooter, trap, rifles, we used to go deer hunting all the time plus he owns a 454 Casul.
Also like to know entry particulars will be using the trapdoor with BP loads.

Thanks Jim

Change of subject just finished reading all 15 posts over on Shiloh forum about the BPCR/BPTR world championship at Raton in July and wanted to know if in the off chance I get the trapdoor finished loads made calibration shooting done if it would be worth my while to go there and shoot any of the classes especially BPTR long out to the 1000 or just stay mid range?

Shooting your trapdoor in the military class you would certainly be in the running for prizes as there are only 1 or two that shoot that class.
I can't say about what the nationals will be this year, but in years past it has been a great experience and well worth the time, effort and expense. I suppose it will be this year, but at the moment the scheduling is cause for a good bit of confusion.

How many entries did they have the last time??

I will be in the area late this summer. might be a good place to stop before heading home.

They were almost filled last year, matter of fact they may of filled, but due to the fires around the country some folks didn't make it. It was pretty heavy smoke the day before the match and I know there were two guys that stood there and watched for a little bit, said "it's to smokey to shoot we're going home"...
You won't regret shooting that one, and if a person was so inclined to spend another week out there, the Golden Spike gong match is the following weekend.
This match is one of the great ones, if you think you want to shoot it , don't piddle around to long on the entry, or you may not get to enter..
