Uberti 1885 High wall 38-55
Well thought I would post a few photos of my new 38-55 high wall I just bought last week. It was bought as used but it is just like new and I dont think it has been shot hardly at all. It came with the new Malcom 6x scope mounted on it,and it is brand new also. Also in the case was a brand new Marbles tang peep sight and a new Lyman 17 globe. I gave $1150 for it all I think I did ok.

Those rifles shoot pretty good, but those scope mounts aren't real reliable.
Hope you had brass for it, as right now finding 38-55 brass is near impossible.

I hope it is Don cause I just ordered some! It says there is some left!

Hey, I just bought one of those critters too and so far its a shooter! Mine is the set trigger version and am wondering if it has the internal trigger spring adjustment screw like the Pedersolis do?

I ordered some on line two weeks ago and received it in 3 days and I ordered some more last night when I made this post and I got an email from them saying my order was received.

I just got this mold and starting to shoot some loads from it. So far it looks pretty good seated to just cover the top grease groove. I'm really impressed with the quality of these molds and the brass one I got threw the first bullet perfectly. Out of a quick run of 150 or so I threw back maybe a half dozen which were my fault and not the molds. Going to try an aluminum mold next for the 44.

The Uberti I had shot the Lyman postel pretty well, but the chamber in the thing was a bit on the large side, and you could actually wrap that weany bullet with 8lb paper and still chamber and fire it.. It did shoot a bit better that way. It also preferred the longer brass. The double set trigger was a pain, as the triggers had to be set before you could fire it, which was really a pain if you wanted to let the hammer down on a live round without an AD.
