Wish we were closer we could find out after I get it done. Of course you might have to show me how to load and shoot it first. LOL Slug gun shooting is all new for me? I am in a deep learning curve. I would love to see some pictures of yours.

RE: Slug gun project
I was able to get out to the shop this afternoon and got a couple of more parts made for the action. The hammer and the sear. Haven't worked on it a lot for the
last few days. I have been rounding up parts to make a gas forge to be able to heat the action up in to do the case Harding color. I have a coal forge but the gas forge shood give me better heat control for the job. Have been wanting a gas forge for a while.

Finally got all the pieces made for the lock mechanism. Still need to heat treat the parts and find a stronger spring. I will probably start on the sealed ignition next after
Heat treating the parts. Can't decide whether to,make the sealed ignition for num. 11 caps or small primers? Any comments or suggestions?

Here in Friendship, everyone uses a sealed ignition with small pistol primers. Back in the mid 80's everyone switched from percussion caps to primers. Are you planning to make the sealed igniter with an interrupted tread? Harder to make make , but a lot handier than screwing it in and out each time.
